Artist Bio

She was born on May 30th, 1962 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She doesn't have formal education in art. Life took her in a different direction when it comes to education – Economy. First drawings she made were inspired with stars, flowers and trees. Ornaments have always interested her as artistic elements. First discovery in that regard she made when she was 9 years old, in elementary school. Later, as an adult person she still has passion for ornaments.  For her, it is a way to find herself in the “chaos” of everyday life – daily work, meetings, deadlines and so on. Harmony and diversity of shapes are always present in her artwork. Also, rich in colors, decorative characteristics in combination with all present symmetry is what describes Mirjana as an artist.
